TEXT: JOHN 19: 19- 22 19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. (KJV)

Today we would like to learn a little more what the Bible says about King through a message entitled “KILLING KING (2).”

As I repeat it, the Bible says clearly one of the meanings concerning the crucifixion of the Lord is killing King.

Therefore, the meaning of the fact that Jesus Christ was crucified is not simply killing one Prophet or Teacher but rather killing King who governed this nation of God, Judah.

It is told on Samuel concerning God to govern this nation as below.

1SAMUEL 8: 4- 8 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,

5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.

7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

8 According to all the works which they have done since the say that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. (KJV)

This is a story that the people of Israel said, “They want a king,” before the first king Saul was enthroned. God Himself clearly said at that time, “they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.” So, the true King of this nation, Israel, Judah of God, though He is unseen, is only One, God Himself.

The Bible says concerning the period of the government of king worth to pay attention as below.

ISAIAH 23: 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot. (KJV)

The Bible says here that the period of one king is seventy years. But there is a mystery. We cannot find among many who are mentioned in the Bible any king who has reigned seventy years. There is no king who reigned such a long time of seventy years, even if we think of David or Solomon. Who then is this king?

It seems this certainly refers to the only King, God Himself. Therefore, the prophecy for the seventy weeks should be in fact the one concerning the reign of God Himself. And, it says no other than killing king arising in this kingdom of God that the anointed One is cut off.

If we read the Bible well, we can know that the anointed one is another name of king. For, any king in Israel, Judah, is only enthroned after anointing.

It is very great sin to kill common people, and so it is much more to kill a king. The generation to join to kill the King was all killed by the Roman army after just one generation, forty years.

The people who joined killing kings were punished also in the history. Those who put the king in a guillotine in the “Puritan Revolution”, and who put Louis the Sixteenth and Marie Antoinette in the “French Revolution,” all lost their lives later. They were punished of their grave sins to kill kings.

Well, the issue to us living in the end time, is that the Bible says killing king will be rehearsed in the end time, yes, the real one of killing king will be done even in the end time.

Do learn that we would be in danger to commit the same mistake as that they who killed kings were punished in the past unless we give heed to this warning.

Several reasons why killing king is rehearsed in the end time are as below.

1. It is in the end time day when the prophecy of the seventy weeks is completed, and it is supposed that the killing king said by the Bible will be fulfilled on the day.

2. It is written on Revelation chapter 11 as to support that , “Where also our Lord was crucified.”

How is killing king concretely done in the end time?

To tell the conclusion first, it is supposed to be killing king that the God’s people of end time kill the Holy Spirit.

The idea to kill the Holy Spirit may not seem to be realistic, but the point is what the Bible says. It is surely thought that the Bible relates the Holy Spirit to killing king as below.

1. The life of Jesus clearly seems to be the sign for the Holy Spirit. Many things about the life of Jesus beginning with the expression, “Comforter, another Comforter,” are signs for the Person of the Holy Spirit.

2. The prophecy of the seventy weeks is for the anointed One to be cut off. Oil and anointing are metaphors of oil of God, the Holy Spirit.

To kill King, the Holy Spirit who has been the true King of the Church for seventy weeks, that is, from the beginning to the end of the church age, will be concretely done by killing the two anointed prophets (two churches) mentioned on Revelation chapter 11.

Many anointed saints will be martyred at that time. They are bodily killed and shed blood.

This is the same as that killing King of God who governed the God’s people of the Old Testament was realized by the crucifixion of the anointed One, Lord Jesus.

In either case those who kill think, “We only punish cults or heretics,” but the killings in fact correspond to killing King.

There are many passages in the Bible that suggest the killing King, the Holy Spirit. It is described in the last of the seven churches, the church of the Laodiceans that suggests the end of the church age, an image of the Holy Spirit expelled out of the house, the church. And, it is written on Thessalonians that the Holy Spirit who withholds antichrist will be taken out of the way (expelled). King is expelled from where He should be and will be killed at last.

As I repeat it, the sin of killing king is never light, and do remember it will never be forgiven in this world or in the world to come. The history has told about this killing king.

The people of France who killed their own king in the French Revolution fell into the destructive situation. Death sentence, violence, terrorism were rampant in this revolution and thousands or tens of thousands people were murdered. Churches were closed, fathers were forced to declare renunciation of faith, and the harlot instead of Lord Christ was worshiped as the Statue of Liberty in the Cathedrale Notre-Dame. The people became the worshipper of Lucifer, who is called, “the god of reason, of virtue.”

It is the same story that the people of Russia killed their own emperor family in the Russian Revolution at the beginning of the twentieth century. What did they get to kill their king? Far from the equal communism, they produced the Soviet Union of the Gulag Archipelago of murder, violence and oppression. This is the terrible prison nation that sent one third of the nation to the guillotines according to Solzhenitsn. They forsook the past rich Russia and got the terrible, poor and confused nation. This was the result and the punishment for killing king that they took lead in carrying out.

Even though these are miserable, we should know they are the type of the coming true killing King. The real one is coming from now.

Killing King in the end time will be killing King the Holy Spirit, and Satan has arrange the preparations for that.

We should remember that Satan made a very careful plan to kill King, Lord Jesus in the past. He stirred up king Herod to slay all the man children of two years and below in Bethlehem. But even so doing, he could not kill Him, and so this time he disturbed His public life and gave the scribes and Pharisees the idea to kill Jesus. And at last he actualized this killing King through the multitude agitated by them.

He goes on preparing for killing King of the end time. He goes on working it steadily. Those who are opened their eyes by the Lord will see that. Now, the revival of beast that is spreading over the world is the preparation, and those who receive the spirit in their right hand or forehead will not be able to recognize the coming revival of the Holy Spirit.

And, the crooked theology will be used to support the revival of beast and to blame the anointed ones of the Holy Spirit.

The time is well ripe. Those who think it is not yet will not discern this age.

Well, these understanding in mind, let’s look at the text.

19 “And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

A title was written and put on the cross of the Lord. This title told the meaning, reason of His death. Why was He killed? It was written on the title, “JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.” So, we know that the Bible tells the death is the killing King who has governed the God’s people seventy weeks said by Daniel.

20 “This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.”

Many Jews, the God’s people, read and knew the reason. It is written about the Lord crucified in the end time on Revelation, too. The reason of the crucifixion is the same as the one for the death of Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the only Person who has governed the God’s people for seventy weeks, from the beginning to the end of the church age, and is the Spirit of Lord Jesus. And because of that, He will be crucified in that city, the corrupted church.

And, the title was written in “Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.” What does it mean? In my personal view, this is concerned of the Bible. The Old Testament is written in Hebrew, and the New Testament in Greek as we know. And, Latin is also closely related to the Bible. As long as I remember, the Bible was translated in Latin (only) for thousand years so that it lasted long time that only those who understood Latin could read the Bible. This deprived the common people of the Bible as a result and brought great loss to the Church. It is the historical fact, regardless that it was good or bad. And the Bible actually has very close relation to Latin.

Therefore, it may possibly tell this fact that the title on the cross of Lord Jesus the Word was written with these three languages. The Bible may tell that they killed the Word itself.

21 “Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.”

The issue here was whether the Jews killed their King or not. As it is a matter of course, the chief priests of the Jews did not agree that they killed their King and claimed to change the writing of the title. But what was the result? The change was not done, and the title, “the King of the Jews,” was put on the head of Jesus of Nazareth to His death. Yes, it was. It was now written clearly before men and God that they killed their own King who governed this nation for seventy weeks.

We will never join to kill King in the end time, and rather let’s pray to do the will of the Lord in the present day.
