TEXT: REVELATION 11: 7, 8 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascended out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “KILLING KING.” We would like to learn that the God’s people of the end time will not receive Christ who is King of the Church so that they will be judged for that.

Well, it is written on the text passage that our Lord was crucified “in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt.” It is written here in the past tense as “was crucified.” This is not proper translation. For, this is special tense “aorist” in Greek which can be translated as past, present and future. So, it is possible to be translated as, “will be crucified.” Rather, it is proper to be translated in the future tense as every description on Revelation concerns future.

So, the Lord coming as the Holy Spirit will be crucified in the end time Church that is called Sodom and Egypt. This passage of Revelation says that.

Well, what does this expression “will be crucified” tell to us? To understand it, the description of Lord Jesus’ crucifixion on the Gospel helps us.

MATTHEW 27: 11- 31 11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marveled greatly.

15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16 And they had taken a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23 And the governor said, Why, What evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29 And when they had plaited a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and let him away to crucify him. (KJV)

When we read this passage about the Lord Jesus to be crucified, what is very characteristic is that the Bible emphasizes that they crucify their own King. There are many verses about is as below.

“the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.”

“they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!”

It is the very regrettable that they unknowingly crucified the Person who came as their own King. And, that is the reason why they, the people of Jerusalem, were destroyed forty years after this killing. Jerusalem was besieged by the Roman army on A. D. 70, and many crosses were built and the people were destroyed.

And, this is the type of the end time days. It will be fulfilled in larger scale in the end time. The God’s people who reject to receive the Lord coming as the Holy Spirit and crucify Him will enter the judgment.

Let’s look at the above passage of Matthew chapter 27.

11 “And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.”

Let’s think about “the King of the Jews.” Judah was considered at that time as the land of the Only God’s people. (Northern Israel was carried away then and non-existence). The Lord clearly and definitely answered, “Thou sayest,” to Pilate’s question, “Art thou the King of the Jews?”

Therefore, the people who were proud they knew God and the Bible and kept the law made great mistake, what, to crucify long-awaited Messiah, the King, by their hands. It can be said a very great story with an unexpected ending, a reversal, a great mistake, and great loss.

It is easy for us to laugh at their failure now, but we should know that we don’t only laugh at it as the same kind like this would not always happen in the end time.

12 “And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marveled greatly.”

Well, Jesus who was the true King of this nation was accused of the chief priests and elders.

This is very cynical. Properly speaking, as they who should have known and understood the Bible and recognized the King first took the lead in making mistake, misunderstanding and moreover robbing His life. This will be repeated totally in the same way in the end time. The time will come when pastors and teachers who should have known God and the King came as the Holy Spirit take lead in making mistake. Yes, it has already come. The teachers who are not ashamed of joining in the false teaching such as partial rapture theory are exactly maneuvering to crucify this Person.

Jesus, the Word, answered nothing to the accusation of the chief priests and elders. But, these chief priests and elders were together destroyed forty year later from that when Jerusalem was destroyed. Likewise, the Holy Spirit looks to answer nothing to various false teachings of the Church at the present. But, those who are puffed up with that should know the judgment time will surely come some day.

15” Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16 And they had taken a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?”

They crucified their King and instead released a man who was cast into prison for a certain sedition and murder made in the city. This is very symbolic event. For, the sons of God would crucify their King and instead release a murderer, Satan, in the end time, too.

This Barabbas was a prisoner. He was in prison. Likewise, the work of Satan was restricted during the church age. And, so, we, Christians, have managed ourselves through this age. But, what is dreadful in the days of the end time is that the Person who has withheld this Satan would be expelled out of the Church and so he, antichrist, Satan, would freely make the Church desolate as written below.

2 THESSALONIANS 2: 6- 8 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (KJV)

The name “Barabbas,” “a son of a father,” is symbolic. Father in the Bible means Father God, but it may refer to another father, as the Lord said, “Your father is the devil.” Murderer Barabbas should not be the type of a son of Father God in any way but rather a son of the devil. So, the people will crucify the Holy Spirit and instead release Satan, the spirit of antichrist, in the end time.

He was imprisoned for murder. On the other hand, Satan is a murderer from the beginning. He looks to represent antichrist to be released in the end time in that sense.

27 “Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.”

Well, there is the description about the clothes of Jesus. The clothes go wherever the person goes. The clothes seem to represent the people who are attached to Jesus in that sense. It is written about these clothes on Mark 15: 24 as below.

MARK 15: 24 And when they had crucified hum, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. (KJV)

Lots were used when Haman cast the lot to set the date to destroy all the Jews with Mordecai. So Lots may be connected to martyr and persecution.

As Jesus’ garments are taken out, the people who are attached to the Lord will be pulled out and declared to the whole world and churches as, “They are heretics and have no relation to the teachings of Christ.” To the contrary, the time will come when those who are symbolized as the scarlet gown are said as the very true, righteous and orthodox Christians. This scarlet gown represents the following people, doesn’t it?

REVELATION 17: 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (KJV)

This woman is the church of Babylon and is filled with names of blasphemy. And it will be declared to the world in the end time, “This is the very orthodox church of truth of Jesus Christ.” But the Bible says such is a blasphemy.

Although it is superfluous to say so, do pay attention to that the ministers of some churches now wear scarlet gowns. And, it is said that the number of Pope who is the head of this church is 666 in numerology. 666 is the number of antichrist and is exactly himself, isn’t it?

29 “And when they had plaited a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!”

It is written concerning a reed in the right hand as below.

This verse says a reed is not useful for a staff. A staff refers to the person to help people to walk, a teacher now. So, they said blasphemy to Jesus putting a reed in his hand, “You are not useful as a teacher.”

And, this is the prophecy and sign for the God’s people of the end time who will blaspheme the Lord who said, “Be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ.” They respect teachers who say blasphemy as, “Genesis is a myth. Theory of evolution is correct (Genesis is a fairy tale),” and forsake true Teacher. They have priority on commentaries full of men’s wisdom over the true Teacher. And, they persecute those who hear the true Teacher. They are the very descendants of those who crucified Lord Jesus and gave a reed to Him.

Therefore, it is not His will to hear voice of men to refuse the voice of the Holy Spirit.

“and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!”

They mocked Jesus the King at that time, and likewise the day will come in the end time when the Holy Spirit is mocked, too. What is this mocking concretely? Maybe, those who truly receive the Holy Spirit will be mocked as devils or heretics by many God’s people.

Lord Jesus, who truly received in His flesh the Spirit of God, was mocked and expelled. Likewise, it is supposed those who truly receive the Spirit of God will be expelled and mocked.

They may think, “Such should not happen,” but it is the end time when such that should not happen will happen as their sins are filled.

Many sons of God have already blasphemed God the Word and mocked His Words publicly. Those of some church who say without fear, “Resurrection of the Lord is an invention that the people hoped to make up,” blaspheme the Word and make God the Word as liar. They repeat the various blasphemies to the bread of life, the Word. They cannot blaspheme another symbol, the Holy Spirit represented by wine.

Those who receive the spirit of devil speaking Mary or of beast, of “Toronto Blessing,” and say such blasphemy as, “These are the very Holy Spirit,” will participate in this in the latter days. This refers to that those who truly receive the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, will be called devils, heretics, to be expelled.

30 “And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.”

They smote Jesus with the reed. Reed is a metaphor of a staff, a teacher. So, the time may come when they cannot discern the Person the Teacher so that they blame Him as a devil and mock Him.

31 “And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and let him away to crucify him.”

We know that when the Lord was crucified he was put not the scarlet gown, that is, the Babylonized people, but own raiment, that is, the people attached to the Lord.

Therefore, we know those who are truly attached to the Lord will suffer for the Lord who is coming as the Holy Spirit in the end time.

We should, however, know that the suffering is a trifle one that will bring about great honor to us in the latter days according to the Bible.

Let’s do the will of the Lord in the end time.
