TEXT: MATTHEW 27: 15- 22 15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “BARABBAS.”

When our Lord was crucified among the God’s people, they did prophetic action. It is that they asked to release the prisoner called Barabbas as well as their King to be crucified.

This seems to be very prophetic action. For, according to Revelation, the Lord also coming as the Holy Spirit in the end time would be again crucified in the church called Sodom and Egypt. At that time perhaps, the release of Barabbas in the past would be done again. We would like to learn that meaning.

Let’s look at the text.

15 “Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.”

It is written on Luke about this prisoner as below.

LUKE 23: 19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.) (KJV)

They crucified their King and instead released a man who was cast into prison for a certain sedition and murder made in the city. This is very symbolic event. For, the sons of God would crucify their King and instead release a murderer, Satan, in the end time, too. The Bible says the devil is a murderer as below.

JOHN 8: 44 He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth. (KJV)

This Barabbas was a prisoner. He was in prison. Likewise, the work of Satan was restricted during the church age. And, so, we, Christians, have managed ourselves through this age. But, what is dreadful in the days of the end time is that the Person who has withheld this Satan would be expelled out of the Church and so he, antichrist, Satan, would freely make the Church desolate as written below.

2 THESSALONIANS 2: 6- 8 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (KJV)

We know that this Wicked is let to appear as the Person who withholds, the Holy Spirit, is taken out of the way.

Barabbas was imprisoned for murder, but he looks to represent antichrist to be released in the end time in the sense that Satan is a murderer from the beginning.

Therefore, they would reject the Prince of life and choose the way to release the murderer, the devil. Concerning this, it is written on the Acts as below.

THE ACTS 3: 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; (KJV)

We understand here that it is said in a set that killing the Just, the Lord, and releasing a murderer. Yes, these two are a set and have relation like the front and the back of one thing.

I think it not simply new interpretation of the Bible or unusual idea but the thing that we should think seriously that a murderer, the devil, is released in the end time.

For example, when we go to a zoo, we can see a fierce animal, lion, by our sides. Lion is a fierce and dangerous animal, but as long as we see it in a zoo it is safe. For, lion cannot come out of the fold freely.

But it would be a different story if lion comes out of the fold and is moreover hungry. We would be the total prey.

So, we should know that the end time is so different that the commonsense so far is no more valid at all. For, it is the days when the devil, a professional of riot and murder, is released to attack us freely.

16 “And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas (a son of a father).”

The name “Barabbas,” “a son of a father,” is symbolic. Father in the Bible means Father God, but it may refer to another father, as the Lord said, “Your father is the devil.” Murderer Barabbas should not be the type of a son of Father in any way God but rather a son of the devil. So, the people will crucify the Holy Spirit and instead release Satan, the spirit of antichrist in the end time.

17 “Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?”

18 “For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.”

Jesus who received the Holy Spirit did many kinds of works such as healing and delivering people from devils at that time. These called the people to praise but on the other hand caused other God’s sons to envy. Those who are anointed will praise the works of God like that in the end time, too. On the other hand, that will cause other God’s sons to envy.

19 “When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”

But, it will not be His will in the end time “to do something with that just man.”

20 “But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.”

At that time “the chief priests and elders,” that is, leaders now in the Church, persuaded to release Barabbas. Likewise, there will appear many teachers and pastors who say, “This is the revival of God. Let’s release this spirit and receive it,” concerning the revival of devil of the end time. But, they are blind who cannot even discern the Holy Spirit from devils. And, they will conclude the coming true revival of God as that of devils and persuade people of God to persecute it. It is as written, “persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.”

21 “The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.”

At that time one of the two should have been released. It was not possible for the two to be released but one of them. And, the multitude chose Barabbas, a murderer. The same will happen in the end time. Many Christians will be blind, and the day will come when they surprisingly choose a murderer, Satan, and receive the spirit themselves. Yes, such is already realized in the revivals of Toronto and Pensacola of that beast

22 “Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.”

The Bible here says a very simple fact. That is, the multitude that chose to release Barabbas chose to crucify Jesus who is called Christ. These two are one set and a combination.

This will surely be fulfilled in the end time. Those who rush about the present revivals of beast and receive the laying hand on their right hand or forehead will surely crucify the Holy Spirit in the latter day.

How does this happen concretely? They called as Beelzebub Jesus who had the Holy Spirit in His body and at last crucified Him. Likewise, the anointed ones who receive the Holy Spirit in the end time will be called devils and be martyred physically.

As I repeat it, those who receive the mark of the beast now seem certainly to join this.

So, how important it is to hear the Lord and to ask to discern these spirits!

It will bring about to us the division to eternity. And, those who hear the Lord will discern these spirits and understand.

Let’s do the will of the Lord in the end time.
