TEXT: DANIEL 9: 24- 27 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “KILLING KING AT THE END OF SEVENTY WEEKS.” We would like to learn that the God’s people who fall into lawlessness at the end of God’s government will kill King.

The text is Daniel chapter 9. Let’s look at it.

24 “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,”

The Bible here said, “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, ” that is, to the God’s people, Christians now.

If we count the actual years, it is already two thousand some hundred years since the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the present time that is considered the end time. This figure is never seventy weeks or seventy times seven, that is, four hundred ninety years. But the Bible mentions like that, and insists that it is seventy weeks until that time of the end time. It seems that there is some hidden meaning in the word “seventy weeks.” There may be some reason why it should be seventy weeks by all means.

With this in mind, let’s see the meaning of the seventy weeks. One of the meanings of seventy weeks is the period for forgiving the sin of brothers as below.

MATTHEW 18: 21, 22 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. (KJV)

The last half of the seventy weeks (three years and a half) is so called the tribulation age. At that time persecution to those who are attached to the Lord will arise. But the Lord is patient to forgive sins until seven times seventy (seventy times seven = seventy weeks), and immediately after this tribulation age to the saints of three and a half years it will be the judgment time. Then, it is the time of judgment on the harlot mentioned on Revelation.

Well, let’s think of the figure of the seventy weeks (seventy times seven).

As the Bible is the only Book written of the Author, Person of wisdom, various things of this Book is filled with wisdom of God. So is the figure.

Those who learn this in the Holy Spirit will understand it.

Seventy weeks (seventy times seven) clearly consist of two figures.

They are seventy and seven. Let’s see the figure seven. Seven is the figure related to the church, as it is written on Revelation “seven churches.”

Then, let’s see seventy. There is the description as below concerning this.

ISAIAH 23: 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot. (KJV)

Seventy years mean a generation of one king.

Therefore, we know that the figure “seventy weeks” (seventy times seven) that these two figures seventy and seven time means the period that one king rules the church (God’s people in the Old Testament times).

Who is this one king? Who can rule the people for such a long time? It is written on Samuel about the one king as below.

1 SAMUEL 8: 7, 8 7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. (KJV)

This one king is God Himself and the Holy Spirit in the church age.

And, it suggests their disobedience to this King so that the judgment will come down on the God’s people at the end of seventy weeks.

It is written on the passage of Daniel that the anointed One is cut off, that is, is killed, after sixty nine weeks, at about end of the seventy weeks, at the end of the government of the Person who governs the God’s people, Lord God.

This concretely refers to the crucifixion of Lord Jesus. And, this passage says that the crucifixion of the Lord has close relation to the prophecy of the seventy weeks. Therefore, what it says is this. This passage says there is another hidden aspect of the crucifixion of the Lord.

The death is not simply limited to the end of the Nazarene’s thirty three years life. Instead, it says that the God’s people, what, kill, crucify their King, reaching an extreme of their sins of disobedience at the final end of seventy weeks of God’s nation, nation Israel that the only God governs on the earth. The death of Lord Jesus means on the one hand the death of the Man called Nazarene, but on other hand the death of the Person who has governed this nation for seventy weeks (seventy times seven = four hundred ninety years), God Himself.

The saying on the above Daniel, “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off,” actually suggests killing King.

Those who read the Old Testament well should know the word “anointed” is the expression connected to some specific people.

For example, once it is said, “Akihabara,” it is connected to the electric town in a tacit understanding. And, if it is heard, “Kasumigaseki,” it is connected to the town of government officials.

Likewise, the anointed one has relation to some specific people. Anointing firstly means the ritual to be done when king was enthroned in the Old Testament. The successive kings such as Saul, David, Solomon and so on were enthroned to receive the anointing.

So, when it is said, “Messiah be cut off,” it in fact suggests the expression of killing King. And, if another, it is the thing about God’s oil, the Holy Spirit.

Well, many people know that this prophecy of seventy week is fulfilled not only in the days of Jesus but also in the end time in full-scale. And, at that time the thing “killing king at the end of seventy weeks” will be fulfilled more clearly.

It is written on Revelation as the word to fulfill that, “Which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” This “our Lord” means the Person who has governed the Church, the nation of God (Kingdom), for seventy weeks as the Holy Spirit. The God’s people of the New Testament also join in killing king as the symbolic event at the end of seventy weeks, the government, at the height of their sins of disobedience.

The king at that time refers to the Person who has governed the church age of seventy weeks as the Holy Spirit. There may be some people who think it strange expression to kill or crucify the Spirit as the Holy Spirit is Spirit. But, this thing will be concretely done as a form of martyrdom of anointed ones as is referred to the following God’s people symbolized as the prophets mentioned on Revelation chapter 11.

REVELATION 11: 3, 4 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before God of the earth. (KJV)

These do not simply refer to the two individuals but two churches of the end time as written two candlesticks. It is also written about their death, dead bodies on the same chapter as below.

REVELATION 11: 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” (KJV)

Why is it written on the passage mentioned about their death, “where also our Lord was crucified?” As the Bible is written of the wisdom of God, hidden wisdom of God is found even in a trifle thing. It is concretely in fact killing the Person of the Holy Spirit the King to kill them.

This is just like the same as that killing the Person in flesh, Jesus, two thousand years ago corresponds to killing the King, God, who has governed this nation for seventy weeks. Lord Jesus is the anointed one and corresponds to King. And these two prophets on Revelation are also anointed ones according to Zechariah.

Here it is told hidden meaning of killing king. Of course they are not God or the Holy Spirit Himself, but the Bible tells that killing these anointed ones correspond to killing the Holy Spirit who has governed the Church. If the Lord says so, we should read so.

Therefore, this prophecy of the seventy weeks clearly has the hidden meaning of killing King by the God’s people. When we understand it, we will see what this prophecy intends to say.

Let’s look at the next one.

25 “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.”

“To restore and to build Jerusalem” was the commandment given to the people carried away to Babylon. So, rebuilding of Jerusalem, restoration of the Church, is commanded and planned of God from the beginning of the seventy weeks, the church age. We are now about to participate in this. We should know we are to participate in the great plan of God.

It is written, “the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” The street may be the metaphor of the place people gather, the Church.

26 “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”

The word “cut off” is the same as the following “put to death.”

EXODUS 31: 14 every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death. (KJV)

In short, it means that the anointed ones are driven out among the God’s people.

This happened in the days of Lord Jesus, and the anointed One, Lord Jesus, was driven out and killed. The same will happen in the end time, and the day will come when those who receive the Holy Spirit are driven out among the God’s people and killed.

As a result, “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.”

This “the people of the prince” are the opposite of the anointed ones of Christ, the Holy Spirit, and anointed of devils. They may be devils themselves or receivers, and their spirits will in any way destroy the city and the sanctuary, that is, the Church.

It is written, “the end thereof shall be with a flood,” but this is not so called a flood of water, H2O. For, God clearly has sworn to Noah He would never cause flood of water. Instead, this is the metaphor and it is correct to consider that as the flood of spirits symbolized by water.

There will arise a flood of spirits in the end time. Those who are to be captured would call it wrongly, “The revival to come has come,” but this is actually the flood of devils.

And, it is said, “unto the end of the war desolations are determined.” So, the desolation of the Church is determined.

What is the reason? Why is the Church determined to be desolate at the end of seventy weeks? It is because they will kill at the end the Person who has governed this nation of God (Kingdom) for seventy weeks. In the past king of England was beheaded at the time of Puritan revolution. After that, many who joined and signed for the killing king were sentenced to death. They should not think all right after killing king.

27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

He, antichrist, will confirm the covenant with many Christians for a week, that is, seven years. This word “covenant’ is the same one as below.

EXODUS 34: 10, 12, 15, 27, 28 10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

27 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

28 And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. (KJV)

We know that all these refer to the covenants between God and men. The Bible is the Book written about the faith and covenant between God and men, not political one.

Therefore, those who say such as, “Peace treaty of seven years will come,” or “Israel of Middle East will make a covenant of peace with the surrounding nations for seven years,” read the newspapers too much and so should reread the Bible based on the biblical principle and idea.

They are foolish people who do not rely on the wisdom of God but rather on commentaries filled with men’s wisdom, and so are completely taken in by these wrong information.

So, there is the period of seven years that the God’s people who have expelled the Holy Spirit receive not the Holy Spirit but devils, believe, rely and pray. And, the surge of the revival (of devils) is coming higher, and they will persecute heretics for the last three and a half years.

“and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease,”

There will be the period of three and a half years to prohibit from hearing the Holy Spirit.

The following words about the days of Jesus seem to explain the situation of the Church during these three and a half years.

JOHN 12: 42, 43 42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. (KJV)

It was prohibited by the powerful men of the people, the Pharisees and others, to confess the faith to the anointed One, Christ, for three and a half years of Jesus’ public life. And, they put out completely of the synagogue those who believed on Jesus. This is a surprising thing. If he believes on the Son of God who has at last come down from heaven with the Gospel in response to prayers of the God’s people as promised of God for long time, then, what, he would be put out of the synagogue of the God’s people!

This is already surprising thing, and the same kind of event would happen in the end time, too. In the end time, the latter rain, the promised Holy Spirit, would be as the promise of the Bible, but it is sad that by the deception of devils they would be prohibited from receiving this Person or be put out of the Church if they still do so, because many people of God have already received not the Holy Spirit but devils. This is the meaning for the saying, “and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease.”

Such a half week, three and a half years, would be at the final end of the seventy weeks.

“for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

“Overspreading of abominations” means pouring of devils like flood, and we understand that the infidel churches would be destroyed in this revival.

Therefore, we should know that the prophecy for seventy weeks prophesies for killing King, the Holy Spirit, who has governed the nation of God, the Church.

We would, however, like to be faithful to this King even in such days.

Let’s do the will of the Lord in the end time.
