NO. 223 LET HIM UNDERSTAND (3)

TEXT: MATTHEW 24: 15 When ye therefore shall see (eido) the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (KJV)

Today letfs learn some more of understanding through a message entitled gLET HIM UNDERSTAND.h

Letfs pay attention to the word. gsee (eido)h among the famous warnings for the end time on the text.

The warning for the end time is surely written, but the issue is that we see what the abomination of desolation is in the end time. If we cannot see and overlook it, our fate of the end time will be in danger.

It is better not to have such strange confidence as, gThat should not be true. We are all right.h For, if we look back on the Bible, there are so many people who overlooked though written, or could not understand though warned.

For example, the warnings were given many times in advance for the destruction of northern Israel of the Old Testament and the captivity of Judah. But, after all, the prophecies of warning were fulfilled as were given. The same thing can be said to the days of Noah and Lot. There are a few who understand the warning properly and escape. This is one of the patterns the Bible tells.

The word gsee (eido)h gthe abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,h on the text is also used as below.

Matthew 13: 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive (eido). (KJV)

Here, the word gshall not perceiveh used to the people who do not understand parables is the same one (eido).

Therefore, it may be possible that we shall not perceive about the abomination of desolation of the end time. Actually, I feel this word is used to suggest that.

This same word eido is also used in the scene that the three wise men found Lord Jesus of the first coming through the stars as below.

MATTHEW 2:1- 12 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2 Saying, Where is he that is born of King of the Jews? for we have seen (eido) his stars in the east, and are come to worship him.

3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, art not the least among the princes of Judah: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw (eido) in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

10 When they saw (eido) the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

11 And when they were come into the house, they saw (eido) the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. (KJV)

They could see (eido) the star and see (eido) the young child.

This word gsee (eido)h is the same as the one to see (eido) the abomination of desolation.

They were blessed to see Lord Jesus of the first coming, though many others could not see Him.

It seemed that many came to say, gI am the Messiah. I am the Savior,h according to the historical books. Not being deceived by them, these wise men could see (eido) rightly the only Person, Lord Jesus. This is honorable.

And, the difficult thing in the end time is to see and understand what the right thing is, or what thing is of God or of deceiving spirits among many kinds of events, information and things that are coming out one after another.

There were many self-proclaimed messiahs at the time of His first coming. So, such a careful attitude as Mathanael is necessary.

JOHN 1: 45, 46 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and said unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said unto him, Come and see. (KJV)

It is important to examine first, not immediately following anything. For, ninety nine out of hundred self-proclaimed messiahs may be the false. Yet, all may not be so but one may be the real. And, if they do not understand that, they will overlook the time of God. But Nathanael could understand the Messiah rightly in this.

JOHN 1: 47- 49 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49 Nathanael answred and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. (KJV)

Nathanael understood this Person was the real One among many false messiahs. Though many professionals such as Pharisees, scribes and priests mistook Him, he understood Him resolutely. Though He came in different pattern from the teaching of many professionals of the Bible, that is, He came not as the royal family of the descendants of David, he understood Him. And, this is the understanding.

It should be the very understanding to judge Him, Jesus of Nazareth, rightly like, gThou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel,h whom the common sense, the teachers and the professionals of those days judged, gNo, He is not Messiah.h

And, this understanding saved him, Nathanael, protected and made him to obtain the eternal life, differing from many religious professionals of Jerusalem who perished. Surely, this wisdom, understanding cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir.

We should know that the Bible says in fact about this understanding to us of the end time, too.

The day will also come in the end time when nobody knows clearly what then the truth or deception is, or when many professionals of religions (churches) and the Bible make misunderstanding. No, the day is already before our eyes.

Some people say that that big revival of Pensacola and Toronto are of the devils. Is such an absurd thing true? Is such a thing possible in the midst of the Church?

We need understanding to know this. I do not say which is right or nor but that we need understanding of God to judge rightly.

And, some say Kathryn Kuhlman is a witch. Is such an absurd thing possible? But, it may be perhaps possible. Which is right? Yes, we need understanding to judge it rightly.

Further, according to some view, those who are called the Jews are more than 90% not at all the descendants of Abraham (He is Shem, Asians) in the race and are the Kazak who have no relation to them, that is, one of the white races. Is such an absurd mistake possible? If it is true, arenft all so surprised?

But, when I read the book gThe Thirteenth Tribeh by Arthur Koestler, it surely seems the historical fact. That reminds me that the famous Jews such as Kissinger, Marx, Einstein, or others, should not be Asians but the white in every respect.

Is this true, or simple rumor? We need wisdom, understanding to know this.

Special ability or excellent brain is not necessary to answer the question such as one g1 + 2 = ?h that is for the first year pupil of elementary school. But, once the difficult question comes, for example, when we are to solve the entrance examination to the Tokyo University, we need clear understanding.

Though all the students do not go to the examination of the Tokyo University, the difficult question of the end time will equally come to every one. That is why, it is told, gWhoso readeth, let him understand,h concerning gthe abomination of desolation.h

Regardless we notice this or not, the end time is surely the day of the difficult question. And, as those who understood the question of Jesus the Nazareth obtained the life and blessing in the days of Jesus, the people who understand the difficult question of the end time will be given life at that time.

Letfs do the will of the Lord in the end time.

End.
