NO. 212 PROPHETS SPEAK

TEXT: AMOS 3: 1- 8 1 Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.

3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? Shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

8 The Lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy? (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled gPROPHETS SPEAK.h

We would like to learn that the Lord will send prophets among us in the end time.

If I say that the Lord will send prophets among us in the end time and so such people will appear before long, Christiansf reactions to it are mostly definite probably such as, gHe is such a suspicious man, and we must watch out.h

Surely it is a fact that there are many suspicious people in the end time, but important thing is how God has spoken in the Bible. We should not as Eve did take away from the word as, gYe shall not eat of it, lest ye die (God said, gYe shall surely die),h or add to the word as, gNeither shall ye touch it.h

God said on the text, gSurely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.h

God says, gHe will reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets,h before His judgment, great work.

We know this is a fact, when we see the Bible.

For example, God had shown to righteous Noah in advance before that great flood concerning the judgment by the water. Then, Noah made the great ark for the people to be saved. By this some people escaped from the judgment by water.

And, at the time of the judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, God had shown it to Abraham in advance. Then, he interceded for the people and asked God to promise that if ten righteous people were God would not judge on the city.

Well, the time of Noah or Lot is the type of the end time. Real one is the end time. Wonft God show such to His prophets likewise in the end time?

Yes, surely He will. Therefore, if the prophets are not yet sent among us, it may be still not the time. But, if we begin to hear the prophets, it shows that we are approaching that day that the Bible has mentioned repeatedly.

We would like to look at the word of Amos.

1 gHear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.h

God has loved the families of Israel specially. But, when they did not hear God and worshipped idols, Godfs wrath came down upon them. We should know that in the end time, too, Godfs judgment would come down on the Godfs people whom God has loved specially.

4 gWill a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?h

A lion will be used as a beast for the judgment in the end time. A beast will surely be used to pull the Godfs people down from the right way, as is written, gthe beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.h

For example, many high ranking minister of the Catholic are held by the group of beats, freemasonry, and even the Protestant ministers are joining them.

The two Godfs people who become beasts, the Catholic and the Protestant, are described as a beast having two horns like a lamb. As is written, gwill a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?h Godfs people will surely be taken.

5 gCan a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? Shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?h

On the former verse it is written that the Godfs people will be taken as prey of the beasts in the end time, and it is written here that they will be fallen in a snare. It is repeatedly written in the Bible that the end time day will come upon the false Godfs people like a snare. It is as below.

1THESSALONIANS 5: 2, 3 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; they shall not escape. (KJV)

Do pay attention to that it is clearly written, gthey shall not escape.h It will be too late to escape on the day. Therefore, we should turn away and be opened our eyes.

It is written about a snare. The doctrines concerning the end time such as pre-tribulation rapture and so on that are now popular among Godfs people will be used as snares on that day. Plainly speaking, they are written by the blind people or those who intend to deceive.

Therefore, it will be fulfilled in the end time, gThey be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.h

6 gShall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?h

But, even so, prophets will be sent to blow a trumpet among Godfs people in the end time. Regardless of people to understand to hear the trumpet or nor, the trumpet will be blown as the Lord gives it to the watchman.

The trumpet will declare the coming disaster. This is like a siren which informed the air attack at the wartime. At the wartime sirens were blown as delivering the warning when airplanes came to attack Japan. When they heard them, everyone escaped into the pits. If they did not care of it, they would have been shot.

Likewise, those who are given the trumpets will blow them, but it is up to each one of us how to take it. Though the trumpets are blown to inform, gRevivals of devils are coming,h not all will take them seriously. Of course, if they blow the trumpets wrongly, they will be responsible. But if the warning should be from the Lord, the blood will not be on the trumpet blowers but on those who do not prepare for it.

We may wonder why such disasters will come upon the Godfs people in the end time. But, the Bible says, gShall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?h Such are written in the Bible for a long time as that there will be the division between wheat and tares in the end time, and Godfs wrath will come upon this people. And this disaster comes from the Lord.

7 gSurely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.h

God will reveal His secret to His prophets before He does something.

For example, I recently heard through some people that there were servants who had been shown them before the disaster of nuclear power accident at Chernobyl plant and Hanshin Earthquake.

Therefore, God will reveal His secret to His prophets in advance. It may be various ways how to reveal, such as in dreams or prophecies. And, it will not be specific to a person whom such is revealed. But, as long as God says in His word, gSurely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets,h it will be done so. In short, God will reveal His secret to His prophets before great events.

Well, these are like the type. Of course, I cannot say so lightly as they are all miserable and great accidents, but the Bible says specially about the great disaster on the judgment day of the end time. This is the greatest thing.

Wonft the prophets be sent for it? Yes, of course, they will.

The Lord who spoke to His prophets in the days of Noah and Lot will also reveal to His servants the prophets before the real judgment of the end time.

And, the prophets will understand His word. Even if their ears are dull, they will understand as the Lord opens their ears.

8 gThe Lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?h

The prophets who are spoken will prophesy to the people fearfully. For, they are firstly such people. And they will not be chosen as the prophets, if they are firstly determined. So, though there is a canary that does not sing, there is no prophet who does not prophesy.

How about the consequence after the prophets speak? When we look at the examples in the Bible, they are not all so good.

Elijah was chased for his life by angry Jezebel, and Michaiah was hit in his face by the false prophets. Jeremiah was cast into the well (no water). They were treated badly. As a result they may die of martyr.

But, it is written, gThe Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?h

As I have repeated, if it is now really the end time and the judgment is at hand, God should speak to His servants the prophets. And, if they are the prophets, they will surely begin to speak.

Shall we not begin to pray, to be prepared to cope with when we hear the voice?

Letfs do the will of the Lord in the end time.

End.
