NO. 211 TEACHING OF WOMAN IN THYATIRA

TEXT: REVELATION 2: 18- 29 18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou suffereth that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I receive of my Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV)

When the Bible says teaching of woman, we should know that it is not of idea or new thing, but of hidden yet clear warning to the Church.

One of the easily understandable examples is the warning of teaching of woman to the church in Thyatira. Letfs look at the text.

18 gAnd unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass.h

Thyatira means smell of trouble, and somehow suggests judgment. Many people say it refers to the Roman Catholic, and I agree with them.

If so, those who belong to this church should be please warned as the passage says that the Catholic is the church of smell of trouble. For, the trouble may be near them.

It is written, ghis feet are like fine brass.h Brass has relation to judgment.

2 KINGS 25: 16 The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord; the brass of all these vessels was without weight. (KJV)

One of the characteristics of the descriptions about brass is that such as, gthe brass of all these vessels was without weight,h are many.

This may suggest judgment like without weight. We should take it solemnly.

20 gNotwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou suffereth that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.h

It is written here about the teaching of the woman called Jezebel. So, we should bear it in mind that the teaching of Jezebel in this church is not from the Bible or Christ but from her own.

The name of Mary is certainly mentioned as the mother of Christ in the Bible, but is not written she had no sin or was the object for worship. Therefore, this is not from a Man, Christ, but from the teaching of woman.

And, it is her own teaching of woman to worship the image of Mary or saints, though the idol worship is prohibited in the Bible. Moreover, this woman teaches the people with the quibble to call a man on earth, gPapa, Papa,h though Christ clearly said, gDo not call anyone on earth father.h

Jezebel means not to marry. Surely she of the Old Testament led the people to error of Baal worship so that she made them to break the marriage relation, the covenant, between God and His people. In that sense the name Jezebel, gnot to marry,h is symbolic.

The Catholic Church of the New Testament has also broken the marriage relation between God and His people and made them not to marry, and led them to worship not Baal (lord) but Pope and saints.

It is written, gto eat things sacrificed unto idols.h The meal in the Bible, that is to eat and to drink, is the metaphor of bread and wine in the Holy Communion, the Word and the Holy Spirit.

They have made the Word crooked with the word of Pope and made the people to eat the word, bread as gGenesis is a myth.h And, they have led them to the irreparable devil such as the spirit of Mary that sheds tears of blood.

21 gAnd I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.h

Although God has given opportunity to the believers of this church to repent, it is pity that many may be too stubborn and obstinate to repent.

22 gBehold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.h

The day will, however, come when they gare given of God according to their works.h

Letfs do the will of the Lord in the end time.

End.
