TEXT: REVELATION 9: 1- 21 1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and upon them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, bit in Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

13 And sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “ABOUT LOCUSTS (3).” We would like to see about the locusts on Revelation chapter 9. Let’s look at the text.

2 “And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.”

What is written here about the smoke and the sun darkened is similar to the following passage on Joel.

JOEL 2: 30, 31 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come. (KJV)

3 “And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and upon them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”

The smoke above is the same as the following.

REVELATIION 8: 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of angel’s hand. (KJV)

So, the smoke may be the prayers. Are the prayers not to the Holy Spirit but to devils? It may mean God’s people to pray not to God but to devils in the Church so that the locusts, the people to destroy, come out, “There came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth.”

4 “And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

These locusts, the people who are used to destroy the God’s people, are not commanded to hurt all of them, “but only those men who have not the seal of God in their foreheads.” We should be careful not to be baptized with the devils with the misunderstanding that the baptism is of the Holy Spirit.

7 “And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.”

These locusts correspond to the locusts on Joel. So, the God’s people will have destructive attack by some people called the locusts. They are “like unto horses prepared unto battle,” that is, the congregation of some church. And as the horses are used for battle, they are also the people skilful for battle so that they will distort the Word and doctrine, pour not the Holy Spirit but the spirit of devils on the God’s people who are to be judged, and keep them away from the heaven. It is written, “on their heads were as it were crowns like gold.” Gold represents faith. So, this people, the vessels, may be known as brave men of faith in Christian churches. In fact, for example, Kathryn Kuhlman was famous as the vessel of healing. But she was freemasonry, that is, Satan worshipper, according to the Home Page of “The Horn.”

And what does it mean, “their faces were as the faces of men?” We should know there is the distinction between beasts and men on Revelation. We know man became a living soul when the Lord God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” So, if they do not have the spirit of God, they are not men but beasts. These locusts are actually not men but look like men. They pretend to behave like wonderful workers who receive the spirit of God but they are not so in reality.

8 “And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.”

What the two words “Women, the hair” suggest is to follow authority. When Paul told about women to follow authority, he said about the long hair of women. And, the meaning of the name of Korah who rose up against Moses is baldness, that is, no hair. This suggests the same thing. No hair means to not follow authority. Therefore, this army of the locusts is the group under the leadership to follow the authority, that of Satan. It is written, “their teeth were as the teeth of lions.” The teeth of the locusts bite vine and wheat. With these the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word are distorted. Lion refers to the devil, as is written, “Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about.” So, these locusts will destroy the Church according to the will of the devil.

9 “And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.”

The Bible tells concerning breastplates as following.

EPHESIANS 6: 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. (KJV)

1 THESSALONIANS 5: 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. (KJV)

Therefore, they may appear as the righteous or the people of faith and love in the Christian Church. Chariot of many horses tells the battle. They will challenge the God’s people of the New Testament to battle and to a surprise get the overwhelming victory. They are the army and the brave.

11 “And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, bit in Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.”

They are called “wonderful vessels of God” or “workers of God,” but are in fact hiding the secret that their king is antichrist and Apollyon (Destroyer). They will utterly destroy the Church in the revival.

14 “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.”

The borders of the God’s people, Israel, are river Euphrates and Nile. These rivers are metaphors of the Holy Spirit. It is because the distinction between believers and non-believers is whether they are baptized with the Holy Spirit or not, that is to say, the Holy Spirit is the border. But now in this end time angels are loosed in the river. The damage will be given to the work of the Holy Spirit.

15 “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”

As is written, “It is the Spirit to give life,” those who are touched by the Holy Spirit have been sanctified and given life so far. But not the Spirit but devils come at this time to slay “the third part of men.” Men mean not beasts but the people who are given life of God. They will enter into the harm of devils.

16 “And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”

The number of the God’s people who now gather to the camp of the false revival is two hundred million.

The word “fire and smoke and brimstone” is also used for the judgment on Sodom in the days of Lot as below.

So, the God’s people of the New Testament will be judged with the revival of devils by these locusts, the army of horses.

18 “By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

It is written here about “tails and heads.” What do these mean? “Head and tail” are written on Isaiah.

ISAIAH 9: 15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail (KJV)

Therefore, these horses (refer to a church or a meeting) will harm Christians through heads, that is, “the ancient and honourable,” great evangelists and workers now. For example, one of them is Pope of the Roman Catholic now. If he says a word such as, “The theory of evolution is undeniable science,” all will yield to it and forsake the description on Genesis that is not adapted for it. And if he says, “There will be no end time,” they will forsake Revelation.

The Person who is said, “The Word is God,” Christ, is driven out of the Church, and as a result the people will be coming off the way of life. It will be surely that “with them they do hurt.”

And it is also written, “for their tails were like unto serpents.” As is written, too, “the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail,” he is a teacher or pastor now. Teachers like him will be used as serpents in the end time. The serpents correspond to the serpent that deceived Eve with distortion of the Word in the Garden of Eden, and also to the Pharisees and the scribes who were called, “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers,” because of their distortion of the Word.

Therefore, many teachers who teach lies intentionally or unintentionally will appear in the end time, and many God’s people will be deceived by them.

20 “And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.”

It is written, “yet repented not of the works of their hands.” The Lord hates the works, practice of men. Let’s repent and rely on the Lord. Then, we will be given true salvation. And it is also written, “They should not worship devils.” It may be possible that they worship the works of devils even in the Church, for the false revivals come from the devils. It means, in short, to do idle worship of the workers of God, “idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood.” They may be the brave men of faith and be made of gold (faith), but they should not be put in the position of God. And the Lord said that they are vessels “which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.” They cannot even see the prophecies of the end time that the Bible truly says, or hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, or walk in the way of God. So, let’s leave vain idols and rely on God.

Therefore, this passage of Revelation chapter 9 says of the disaster on the God’s people and on the work of the Holy Spirit symbolized as bread and wine of the Holy Spirit as other passages on Revelation. We should know it is the way of Revelation and the Bible to repeat the warning for the same theme many times in various expressions.

We should remember that God warned Israel through many prophets and in various ways of expressions in the days of the Old Testament.

Therefore, it is not written here about the Chinese army of two hundred million to go to the river Euphrates or about tanks and rockets to emit fire, brimstone and smoke.

The Bible is written for the Christians of the end time, and it is written here about the disasters on the Word and work of the Holy Spirit and the judgment on the Church that are the most important for Christians. Never be deceived.

Let us do the will of the Lord in the end time.
