TEXT: REVELATION 2: 20- 23 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. (KJV)

Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “JEZEBEL.” Jezebel was the wife of Ahab, king of Northern Israel who came out on the book of Kings. This was the description almost three thousand years ago, but does it have any relation to us? I believe it has. For, no other than the description concerning Jezebel is mentioned in the prophecies for the seven churches on Revelation that has prophesied for the future, the church age.

It suggests one thing that her name comes out in the prophecies for churches. Then, the description concerning Jezebel on Kings is not limited to the historical story but the prophecy and type of the future church.

Therefore, those who study descriptions about Jezebel will be able to understand the prophecy of the future church, especially of the church in Thyatira. The word “that woman Jezebel” on the text is the hint to show this, and those who pay attention to this word and study the description about Jezebel will understand the mystery of the Bible.

With this in mind let’s look at the description about her.

1 KINGS 16: 31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. (KJV)

She was the wife of Ahab king of Northern Israel. What does this Northern Israel mean to us of the end time? I believe it is probably the metaphor of the Roman Catholic of the present time. So, it seems that the church in Thyatira that mentions Jezebel refers to the Roman Catholic as many people interpret so. Well, the book of Revelation prophesies that that woman Jezebel will appear in the church in Thyatira.

Jezebel is the daughter of Ethbaal. Ethbaal means “with Baal.” So, this woman brings people to worship Baal. Baal means “the lord.” In short, she brings the lord other than the Lord into the Church.

Jezebel of the Old Testament brought the idol of Baal among the God’s people instead of the Lord. Likewise, this church has forsaken the true God and brought the idol of the lord, that is, obedience and blind belief to Pope.

The name Jezebel means “not to marry.” So, she has no husband. It means something. It corresponds to the harlot Babylon on Revelation who said, “I am no widow,” and to the Samaritan woman who said, “I have no husband.” Samaria was the capital of Northern Israel, and she refers to the prophecy (the end time revival) that shows another aspect of the Catholic.

It is the surprising word that the Church that should be the wife of Christ does not marry and has no husband, but this does not show the theory but the practice of the spirit of the church.

1 KINGS 18: 4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water. (KJV)

This Jezebel means the church that guides the Lord’s people to error. Furthermore, she kills the prophets of the Lord, the teachers at the present days. We do not know they die spiritually or of martyr, but she anyway kills them. But at that time Obadiah (servant of the Lord) fed them with bread and water. Bread means the Word and water the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, it is also prophesied that the servant of the Lord will arise to feed with the Word and the works of the Holy Spirit even inside of the Catholic where the false teachings are spread over.

1 KINGS 18: 19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel’s table. (KJV)

The great event among all in Northern Israel in the days of King Ahab and Jezebel was that Elijah appeared and caused fire come down from heaven in the name of the Lord. It is recorded that there were eight hundred fifty prophets in total, “the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred.” Only Elijah alone was there against them. And it is recorded the fire came down according to the request of Elijah.

Elijah corresponds to the two prophets on Revelation chapter eleven. The fire of revival will come down to the church that is deceived by Jezebel, the Catholic Church, through the prophets in the end time, too. It is also the fulfillment of the prophecy of revival written in the story of the Samaritan woman on John. The water in the well of Samaria is the type of the water of life, the Holy Spirit, that will be drawn out in the days of the revival. The charismatic movement that is about to arise in the Catholic may be the beginning.

But there is one thing to be careful of. That is, the false revival, the revival of the beasts, would mingle with the works as the present Pentecostal and Charismatic meetings in Japan are so. The present Pope who is said to be a Mason in rumor is supposed to suggest such as that he has understanding in the Charismatic movement, and so the enemy has got the point and is waiting for a chance.

1 KINGS 19: 1, 2 1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. (KJV)

Jezebel threatened here to take his life from Elijah who caused the fire come down. Therefore, the servants of the Lord in the Catholic who are bringing the revival in the end time should be determined to die of martyr.

1 KINGS 21: 5, 7 5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?

7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezereelite. (KJV)

Naboth means fruit and may refer to the metaphor of the people of fruits of the Holy Spirit. He refused to sell his vineyard. What does the inherited land of vineyard mean?

Although Israel was carried away to Assyria and Judah to Babylon, he tried to keep the way of and stay in the land of the inheritance.

He is the type of the believer who has been inherited the position of the ancestors of faith who had kept the way to the end. They refer to the people who do not worship Pope but keep their faith firm in Christ. And, they will be accused for a lie by Jezebel and will die of martyr.

1 KINGS 21: 23 And of Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. (KJV)

The church of this Jezebel will be brought into the judgment in the end. The dogs refer to the metaphor of the Gentiles, unbelievers now, as the parable is in the New Testament, “The dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” This church will be destroyed by the hands of unbelievers.

2 KINGS 9: 7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. (KJV)

The day of judgment concerning the blood of the servants of the Lord will come in the end time.

2 KINGS 9: 37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel. (KJV)

The church will be taken apart to pieces on the judgment day so that no body can say this is the church any more.

Well, with these in mind let’s look at the text.

20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”

The point that this church in Thyatira (the church is supposed to refer to the Catholic) is blamed for is that they let Jezebel do as she likes. Therefore, the teachings of Jezebel should be all wiped out, shouldn’t they?

The teachings of Jezebel are all to separate believers from Christ, the true Husband, so that they will not rely on Him. The pastors and teachers of this church are supposed to teach people. But they are actually leading them to error. The word “things sacrificed unto idols” does not mean the foods offered to the household Shinto altar or Buddha. Idols mean that they put Pope, saints and pastors in the position of God instead. As it is written, “the Word was God,” if they forsake the word, “God created thing after his kind,” and say such as, “The theory of evolution is scientific,” it is sufficiently idol worship. If they give priority on such words of Pope among messages in the church over the Bible, it will be that they eat the bread of the words of Pope, not the bread of the Word, that is, things sacrificed to idols.

21 “And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.”

God said He gave this church space to repent. It was one of the opportunities when righteous John Paul the First announced that they would expel all men of freemason, but he was murdered thirty three days (thirty three is the special number for the freemason) after he was enthroned. And later than that, high ranking ministers were reported to die of doubtful causes (stopping mouth), which may be also so. Further, when the prophecies of Mary that they worshipped were all out, that was also the one God gave for them to wake up. Mary is the devil to do signs written on Revelation. But many believers did not wake up nor repent of their fornication with the devils.

22 “Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.”

This woman (the church) will be cast into the bed. Many were healed, when they came to Jesus. The blind, lame and paralytic were all healed. This is the fact even now, and if we come to the Lord and ask the Lord we will be healed spiritually and physically in the will of the Lord.

But here is the church of adultery, and she will not be healed and cast into the bed instead. The believers of this church would not be healed spiritually or physically and would be sick heavier than before instead. It should not be that some of them forsake the Bible and ask for the solution to Buddhism or Hinduism, and so how come are they healed who forsake the true God and worship idols?

And it is also written, “them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.” The people who belong to this church are here not advised to walk according to the tradition and policy of this church. To the contrary, it is written to repent and to turn around. So, they should know that if they follow the walk of this church blindly they would be cast into the great hardships in the end time.

23 “And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

It is written, “I will kill her children with death.” Let’s think about sickness. If the ear of a man becomes sick, he cannot hear unlike healthy man. And the eyes become sick, he cannot see. If he cannot see or hear, wouldn’t he be destroyed by a wolf as a result, like a children’s story of “a child with red hood?”

The wolves, the enemies, eat and ruin as they like in this church, freely saying such lies as, “The end time will not come,” “The theory of evolution is scientific,” “The words of Pope are more than the Bible,” or “Mary of Fatima is right (She is actually devil).” But the believers who are in sickness not to be able to see or hear seem to feel nothing about them. We should know why they are not healed of death bed is because they have forsaken the Lord and worshipped idols.

And it is also written, “all the churches shall know the reins and hearts.”

It is said that God is the Person who does not see the appearance or behavior of would-be pious of men but truly knows the reins and hearts of men. Therefore, we should ask to be sanctified of our reins and hearts. There is none else but this Person who sanctifies and heals us. We should know not Pope, the spirit of Mary, or saints but only Christ who is truly the Lord can heal us.

Let us do the will of the Lord in the end time.
