NO. 179  THE CITY CALLED EGYPT (2)

TEXT: EXODUS 9: 8- 10  8 And the Lord said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. (KJV)

The sixth was a boil. It is written concerning a boil on Leviticus as below.

LEVITICUS 13: 18- 20  18 The flesh also, in which, even in the skin thereof, was a boil, and is healed,

19 And in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest;

20 And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower that the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of boil. (KJV)

There is the description of a boil together with leprosy that symbolizes sin. So, this boil should have relation to sin. It may probably mean overtly filled with sin.

EXODUS 9: 22- 25  22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heave, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field. (KJV)

The seventh was hail. What does hail refer to? There is a hint on the following passage.

PSALM 105: 32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. (KJV)

Looking at this passage, we can see that hail was given as the judgment on Egypt for rain.

What does this mean? Rain refers to the Holy Spirit. Once it rains, dried land is watered, and man and beast are given life and vegetations grow. Likewise, the Holy Spirit gives life and let Christians grow.

But at this time, rain, the blessing, turns to hail. In short, it turns opposite to the Holy Spirit, which means devils. Rain and hail are the same in the element - water. But once it hails for rain, many disasters arise. Likewise, if devils come down instead of Holy Spirit, the life of many Christians will be lost.

It is as written, gAnd the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.h

This refers to the devils which are opposite of the Holy Spirit as a parable. Also, there is a hint within the description, gthe fire ran along upon the ground.h The fire is a parable of a spirit. As it is written on the day of Pentecost, gthere appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them,h the fire expresses a spirit. And not the Holy Spirit but devils will fall upon the Church that becomes like Egypt in the end time.

EXODUS 9: 31, 32  31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not growing up. (KJV)

What do these verses tell us? Like the parable on Matthew chapter 13, wheat refers to Christians. And here, there is wheat that was destroyed and was not destroyed by hail.

The difference between them is whether it grew earlier or later. That is to say, the wheat that grew later was not smitten.

I believe, this is probably the difference between Christians who will be saved by the revival of the end time and who have already been saved. That means, as it is written, gThat the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles,h many Christians from old generation who have accumulated unbelief to God would perish in the midst of the deception of devils like the first generation of Israel died in the wilderness. But out of the generation of the Gentile, people who are now said to be unbelievers, some generation who are not smitten by this hail, devils, would arise.

EXODUS 10: 13- 15  13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought as east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt. (KJV)

The eight was the locusts. What does it mean? The following description on Joel seems the reference to understand it.

JOEL 1: 1- 11  1 The word of the Lord that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2 Hear this, ye old man, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.

5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

7 He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.

8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

9 The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the Lord; the priests, the Lordfs ministers, mourn.

10 The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

11 Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. (KJV)

What we know from this passage is that the locust lays wine and wheat waste.

Wine refers to the Holy Spirit and wheat is the material for bread, that is, a parable of bread of life, which is the Word. It tells us that the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word gets destroyed.

Do pay attention to the expression, gFor a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.h

As is written above, a specific nation is used for this destruction. In short, a nation controls seminaries and theologies in order to turn the revival of the Holy Spirit to works of devils and pervert the Word.

The plague of locust tells the disaster to change the Holy Spirit and to pervert the Word.

EXODUS 10: 21- 23  21 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings (KJV)

The ninth was the darkness. What does it mean? We should understand that darkness means absence of light.

In short, it means that the Person who is the light of the world has left and the prince of the world has come.

It is written as follows.

JOHN 9: 4, 5, 40, 41  4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. (KJV)

Jesus is the light of the world. And the blind man who received Him was opened his eyes and was able to see.

On the other hand, Pharisees who did not receive Him could not see and was blind spiritually. They did not receive light and walked in darkness, though they said, gWe see.h Although they showed zeal for the knowledge of the Bible and the religious rituals, they excluded the Person with true light and as a result, they were in darkness.

Likewise, those who have not received or heard Jesus who came as the Holy Spirit are in darkness. Since they have no light, they cannot discern the Holy Spirit from devils or what the Bible says. They expel light and are in darkness. As a result they do not understand what are the right revival and the work of the Holy Spirit or what the Bible talks about the end time.

EXODUS 10: 24, 25  24 And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

25 And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the Lord our God. (KJV)

Here Moses and his people mentioned about the service to God. The plagues cursed upon the churches which became like Egypt are conversely, utilized to select His true followers as a result. They have no other choice but to leave their church filled with devils.

.

EXODUS 11:2  Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. (KJV)

Godfs true people will get jewels of gold and silver. Gold and silver refer to faith, and they build up their faith to God under these plagues.

EXODUS 11: 4- 6  4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it ant more. (KJV)

The tenth and the last was death. What does this mean?

EXODUS 12: 12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment.h

It is written, gwill smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment.h

The day will come when the judgment is executed on the Godfs people who become like Egypt and the workers who sit like gods. This judgment may probably be on devils as other judgments so far have been so.

EXODUS 12: 13  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. (KJV)

But on the day when the judgment is executed on Egypt, Israel, Godfs true people, will be saved by a token of blood. This blood symbolizes the blood shed by crucifixion of Jesus. And we should look into this matter further. This blood is also the parable of the Holy Spirit. As it is written on the epistle of John, gThe spirit, and water, and blood,h at times, the metaphor of the Holy Spirit is water and other times it is blood.

Our sins, many of unclean sins, characters and customs are healed, forgiven and cleansed when they are touched and dipped by the Holy Spirit in the prayers. It is as written, gThe blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.h

But there will be no forgiveness of sin or deliverance in the revival of devils. On the contrary, those who follow signs of devils with joy saying such as, gThe teeth become gold,h will not receive forgiveness or deliverance, and consequently, they will receive spiritual death.

Well, Godfs true people who are symbolized as the Israelites will not follow devils but blood, which is the Spirit of God in the end time. Because their houses are struck by blood, the Spirit of God, their sins will be forgiven. The judgment will not enter their houses - their churches.

But the story is different for the case of the people who become gEgyptizedh and their gods, that is, the workers who sit as gods. They will not be forgiven by the Holy Spirit - the blood, and will eventually be led to death.

It is as written, gSin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.h The following word will be fulfilled to them.

HEBREWS 10: 29, 30  29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. (KJV)

The firstborn of Egypt will be delivered to death on this judgment day. What does this signify? This may probably have relation to the above word, gwho hath trodden under foot the Son of God.h Jesus is the very Firstborn of God, and the firstborn of Egypt expresses the judgment on those who tread under foot the Son of God and despise His Spirit. The word, gThe Lord shall judge his people,h will be fulfilled at this time.

Let us do the will of the Lord in the end time.

End.
