TEXT: REVELATION 11: 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in they street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (KJV)
Today I would like to deliver a message entitled “THE CITY CALLED EGYPT.”
The Bible has named the Church to be judged in the end time as Babylon. So, as we look at the description of Babylon in relation to the Church in the end time, we will find many things to tell us. Well, concerning along with Church to be judged, Bible signifies Sodom and Gomorrah as the Church to be judged. Therefore, when we look at these descriptions, we will receive some information concerning the Church of the end time from another aspect.
Well, as for Egypt, it is written in detail on Exodus. Let us look at the following passage.
EXODUS 7: 4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, That I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. (KJV)
Just as the name of the book being Exodus, the main theme of Exodus is God’s people of Israel to escape out of Egypt, the land that is attached to this world.
Likewise, there will be God’s true followers who escape out of people who become like the land of Egypt in the end time. And, the great judgment will be executed on Egypt, the Church that is attached to this world at that time. Let us see ten plagues which fell upon Egypt.
EXODUS 7: 17, 18 17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river. (KJV)
Firstly, Nile River was turned into blood. Let us see the meaning of the parable for the end time. The river was turned into blood by the rod. A rod generally helps people to walk. So, it is the parable of a teacher or a pastor who helps walking in faith. And it refers to a teacher or a pastor becoming a serpent, that is to say, distorting the Word to the false in the end time that the rod is changed to a serpent. The water of the Nile River was smitten with the rod. The water was turned into blood. The Holy Spirit is replaced by the demonic spirit.
EXODUS 7: 25, 8: 1 25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the Lord had smitten the river.
8: 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me. (KJV)
The reason why God had cursed Egypt with plagues is because, to let His people serve Him. This is happening at the present time. God’s people who cannot discern the Holy Spirit from the demonic spirits and become like Egypt will be swallowed up in the revival of Toronto and Pensacola of the demonic spirits. But the God’s true people who hear the Holy Spirit discern the nature of this revival. They will depart from Egypt and serve true God.
God’s true followers will be forced to leave and depart from the Church that becomes like Egypt because of the revival of demonic spirits, that is to say, the river to be turned to blood. They will depart from the demonic signs such as teeth becoming gold. Surely the sign will make division among God’s people.
EXODUS 8: 2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs. (KJV)
The second plague was frogs. What does this mean? It is written on Revelation as follows.
REVELATION 16: 13, 14 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (KJV)
When we see this passage, we know these frogs are unclean spirits and the spirits of devils working miracles. The spirits that are now working miracles in the meeting of Pensacola and so on are such as changing teeth to gold may be probably these ones. No body should lose a precious eternal life by receiving such spirits without discernment, as the Bible clearly says that such spirits will work in the end time.
EXODUS 8: 3, 4 3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants. (KJV)
It is written, “come into thine house.” A house is a parable of a church, and we can see that these spirits go into the Church. It is written, “come into thy kneadingtroughs.” Kneadingtroughs are for kneading flour. This is a parable related to bread of life, which is the Word. That is to say, it is a parable that these spirits will come into even messages and sermons of the Bible.
EXODUS 8: 16- 19 16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; and all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said. (KJV)
The third was lice. What is the parable of lice? The hint for it is the word of the magicians, “This is the finger of God.” The same expression of the finger of God is given in the New Testament as below.
LUKE 11: 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. (KJV)
Therefore, this “lice” symbolizes demonic spirit. And this demonic spirit will infiltrate into the Church with the rod, that is, teachers of the end time. God becomes angry that they placed teachers of men in the position of gods.
As a result of the idol
worship, the rod is turned to the serpent and lice to bring forth demonic
spirits. It is just as written, “Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the
land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.”
EXODUS 8: 21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy house: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. (KJV)
The forth was swarm of flies. We should pay attention to flies to understand this verse. The word related to flies is written on the New Testament as follows.
MARK 3: 22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. (KJV)
The above word “Beelzebub” means king of flies. If king of flies is the prince of the devils, we know flies means devils.
IT is written, “The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.” So, we know the meetings in the Church that becomes like Egypt and is attached to this world will be full of devils.
EXODUS 8: 22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there: to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth. (KJV)
But it is written, “And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there.” We can see that God’s true people will be kept safe even in the days of disasters during the end time. Therefore, in the days of the end time God’s people who are attached to this world and depart from God will suffer from devils, which is the famine of the Word and many disasters, but God’s true people will be kept in perfect safety.
EXODUS 9: 3- 6 3 Behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4 And the Lord shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.
5 And the Lord appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land.
6 And the Lord did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one. (KJV)
The fifth was murrain. Before we understand this passage, we should get what the disease in the Bible refers to. There are many diseases found in the Bible. For example in the Gospels, such as an issue of blood, leprosy, paralysis, born blind, deaf-mute and so on are written on the Bible.
These diseases symbolize our spiritual diseases. We may be paralytic not to walk in faith, ones like woman with an issue of blood constantly issuing sins, or may not be able to hear or see spiritually.
But, even if we have diseases and sins, the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit can heal us as Jesus has healed many sick people. Yet in that time the God’s people who have driven out the Hold Spirit and become like Egypt will not be healed but instead die spiritually. It is as written, “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
Let us do the will of the Lord in the end time.
